At Artful Tailoring, we understand that bridal dress alterations are no easy task. Such alterations can only be done by a knowledgeable and experienced tailor who is detail oriented. Commonly, off the rack bridal gowns and dresses rarely fit you perfectly, unless they are custom made. Our wedding dress alteration services will ensure it matches your specific body measurements.
How we work:
- First fitting: We recommend that you come in for an appointment between 8-9 weeks before your wedding. Make sure to bring your dress, shoes, and the undergarments you plan on wearing with it. In regards to the shoes, it is not necessary to have the exact ones you will wear on your big day. We only need it to adjust the hemline accordingly as per the height of your shoes.
- Second fitting: The second fitting session takes place around three to four weeks before wedding. Here you will try on the dress after the initial alterations have been completed. If there are still further adjustments to be made, a third fitting will be made.
- Third fitting: Typically scheduled a week before wedding, this is where we ensure a perfect fit of your dress. We always welcome you to try it on for the last time so that we are sure that there are no issues.
