For the Bride-to-Be some key tips to keep in mind when purchasing a wedding dress: being sized right goes a long way to saving on alteration costs and fitting right in the Bust is the most important component. The boutique where you purchase your dress will know the Seam Allowance inside the dress, but as a precaution may try to up-fit you into a larger size. Alterations in bust cost more than adjusting the sides so aim to be sized right! However, if the hips are large and the bust is small, buy so that the hips fit. We can always take-in more than we can let-out. Also consider that accents and beading affect the alteration process and therefore the overall bill.
